Hosted by Couple

In today’s modern environment it is totally acceptable to mention only the bride and groom’s names on your wedding invitations.  The reasons for doing this vary – maybe you and the hubby-to-be are paying for the wedding yourselves.  Perhaps you are both grown adults that have been independent for such a long time that it just feels right.  Maybe it’s a second marriage, or one or both of your parents are deceased.  Whatever the reason, it’s totally fine to just use your own names on the invite and it will sound just as romantic and fabulous as any other option.  This is actually the way my hubs and I did ours, pretty much just because we liked it!

When you’re using only your own names, you’ll likely have extra lines to play around with for creative wording.  Or you can keep it simple.  Either way.  We’ve compiled a bunch of “hosted by the couple” wedding invitation wording examples for your convenience.  Feel free to copy, or create your own!
