I’m a big fan of matching wedding stationary. It makes things easier on the bride since she only has to pick out one design plus it gives your wedding a polished look. While invitations, RSVPs and escort cards should all be part of you wedding invitation suite, I don’t agree that your save-the-date cards need to be a part of that complete package.
Save-the-date cards get mailed to guests six months in advance, especially if your guests are traveling from out of town or you are planning a destination wedding. With so much time between your save the date cards and the rest of your wedding materials, you can send out something completely different – so have a little fun!
If you’re having a destination wedding, why not include a map of the location on an adorable postcard like the one above? If you can’t decide between a postcard and a regular card, why not do both? I love this innovative take on a traditional save-the-date postcard. The layout and font are so fun, emphasizing that this is a joyous announcement! You can focus on your formal wedding style later.
