At an outdoor garden reception, it seems only natural to invite the cutest outdoor creatures to share in your festivities and mingle with your guests. I’ve been having a blast playing around with new designs this week and here’s one that I came up with today that I’ve fallen in love with!

When I found this hand sketched grahic of flowers and a tiny baby butterfly I couldn’t resist making an invite!  The illustration and fonts I chose made it *sort* of elegant, but not really.  As soon as you look closely you can see the  I’m-bored-in-class-and-I’m-doodling feel, which pretty much throws traditional and elegant out the window.  I’m always tempted to make something classic and beautiful like so many of the designs I fall in love with on the other wed blogs, but I can never seem to deliver.  I guess it’s just not my style

I’ve still got to work up the directions card, thank you, and save the date, but it’s pretty easy from here.  I’m excited to try out some other color themes, or maybe an invite with a solid colored background.  Since it’s more important to be in love with a person than stationery, I’m going to have to give some attention to my husband so that he doesn’t divorce me.  Guess the rest of the suite is going to have to wait until later :p
