Scrapbook Inspired Wedding Details

Check out these amazing do-it-yourself scrapbook-inspired wedding ideas from an old friend of mine that just got married.

My friend Noaillese is a die hard scrapbooker who can turn puffy letters and ho-hum pictures into a work of art with her cricut.  When it came to her wedding, she delivered on the details :)

The most inspiring detail in her wedding was her updated “guest book”.  Noaillese created a set up of “wish cards” where guests could write a personal note for the bride and groom.  Where would all of the notes eventually go?  Her wedding scrapbook, of course ;)

The Wedding Wish Cards Set-up

Noaillese also made her own wishing well.  Remember those old school lacey card boxes that looked like a pimped out birdhouse gone awry?  Why go there when you can make your own.  Decorating an old shoe box isn’t too hard, and a trip to Micheal’s scrapbooking aisle will hopefully be all the inspiration you need.

Here are some more amazing handmade details from Noaillese’s wedding.  Also, Noaillese recently opened up an Etsy shop where she sells adorable scrapbook inspired cards and trinkets.  Check out her goods at Noey’s Papers.

Wedding Reception Ideas: Glow Necklaces & other fun Glow in the Dark Stuff

Dancing with Glowsticks

Modern brides - here’s a new wedding reception trend that is worth copying (and inexpensive too)!  If you’re going for a fun, energetic, rockin’ reception, check out the following pictures from two wedding that used glow necklaces, glow bracelets, and yes, glow in the dark Kanye West style “shutter shades” to amp up the reception!

The good news about this wedding reception idea is that it’s fun, it’s cheap, and it makes for awesome wedding pictures.

Glow jewelry can be purchased at wholesale prices from various online novelty stores.  For around $50 you can order about 100 pieces of glow in the dark accessories.  Have someone in the bridal party (or your DJ) hand them out and voilia - you’ve got a fun party prop that everyone can appreciate, kids and grandmas included!  Noone is immune :)

You can also use the the glow accessories as a favor replacement.  Just add a tag or label to each one and your guests will have a memento they can cherish forever (or at least until the glow juice runs out)!
