Orange Wedding Details

Summer is dying down and the end of August is just a few days away. I love everything that fall has to offer – pumpkins, foliage, firewood and apple picking. Everything the fall season brings easily makes it my favorite. But I want to take one of my last chances to plan a bright summery wedding. This week I’m picking out the perfect bright orange wedding details.

Since this is a summer wedding, I don’t want to just pick out orange-colored items – I want to incorporate the actual fruits. Since they’ll be in season it can be a fun and inexpensive way to add the circular shape and natural bright pops of color without a huge price tag. Plus, how adorable are they as escort cards? And the bright orange plate helps tie it all together.

An Outdoor Forest Wedding

With Fall just around the corner, I’m inspired to plan an outdoor wedding. Just imagining all that rich foliage and greenery - with Christmas trees coming indoors soon after! - gets me excited. So this week I’m planning an outdoor, forest wedding utilizing all the natural shades of green for the wedding color palette.

This Salt Lake City wedding takes place in the perfect outdoor venue for the Fall. I like how this couple stepped away from the typical, waterfront-view outdoor wedding ceremony location and opted for something a little more rustic and autumnal. The trees, the stones, the circle of flower petals - I love it all.

And look at these lanterns hanging from the trees. If I didn’t already love the location, that definitely would have won me over.

Also, I can’t help but think of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. I know it may sound weird, but they both met their husbands (princes in fact so even better) in the middle of a forest which makes this setting seem that much more romantic.

Black and White Wedding Inspiration

A black and white affair is classic - but that doesn’t mean you can’t add fun touches here and there to make this timeless color palette modern. Keep your black and white theme dominant in your major components but add bits of color in the details such as on your cake, wedding reception tables or flowers. Here is this week’s black and white wedding inspiration board.

Also, I love these white flowers with black centers. Those reception tables look amazing, showing you can strictly follow your black and white theme and still look modern, fun and stylish!

Shabby Chic Wedding Inspiration

Call it shabby chic, backyard chic or unrefined elegance – it doesn’t matter to me. I’m drawn to every detail in these types of wedding. Here is the inspiration board for this week’s shabby chic wedding.
