Get your guests more involved than a signature in a book to share in your big day. Have your guests write marriage fortunes for the happy couple – you’ll have better luck getting good fortunes than from a standard cookie.

For a really fun activity, create a wedding Mad Libs for your guests to fill out! Write a paragraph and leave blanks for details such as name, how long they’ve known the couple, a word to describe the couple style and other customizable details. The cards would look great on your reception tables and are a unique memory from your wedding day.

If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, it might rain. I know it’s every bride’s nightmare and something you’d probably not like to discuss out loud but we can’t predict the weather so every outdoor wedding needs a contingency plan.

I could see myself having many different style weddings. I don’t understand how couples narrow it down to just one. I constantly plan the tablescapes for my barn wedding, the hotel suite for my destination wedding and the invitations for my ceremony at the Four Seasons in New York. Now obviously I just cannot do them all (unless I renew my vows every year, which I’m tempted to do just for the parties) so I constantly change my mind. But when I saw this picture I fell in love.

Did I mention this venue is in Venice, Italy? I could definitely get married in Italy. It usually doesn’t look quite like this since it was set up for an art exhibit but I wonder if I could bribe them to recreate it for my wedding day…

It’s easy to get caught up in the 23074798 things you have to do to get ready for your wedding day. Cake tastings, wedding dress shopping and fittings, venue viewings, the list goes on. Make sure your husband-to-be doesn’t feel even slightly ignored while you’re out running wedding errands during time you two would normally spend together.
