An Outdoor Forest Wedding

With Fall just around the corner, I’m inspired to plan an outdoor wedding. Just imagining all that rich foliage and greenery - with Christmas trees coming indoors soon after! - gets me excited. So this week I’m planning an outdoor, forest wedding utilizing all the natural shades of green for the wedding color palette.

This Salt Lake City wedding takes place in the perfect outdoor venue for the Fall. I like how this couple stepped away from the typical, waterfront-view outdoor wedding ceremony location and opted for something a little more rustic and autumnal. The trees, the stones, the circle of flower petals - I love it all.

And look at these lanterns hanging from the trees. If I didn’t already love the location, that definitely would have won me over.

Also, I can’t help but think of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. I know it may sound weird, but they both met their husbands (princes in fact so even better) in the middle of a forest which makes this setting seem that much more romantic.

I live in Chicago, IL and really want my wedding in a forest. I don’t know where to start, but wondered if you had resources to point me to.

I’m glad you like the idea of a forest wedding just as much as we do! Unfortunately these images are just inspirations and I do not have any specific resources. I have heard the Oak Brook Bath and Tennis club is a great location in Chicago for an outdoor wedding. Good luck with your search!
