Feminine and Romantic Tablescapes

I have been craving feminine details lately. Most likely because I’m planning a move which equals getting to completely redecorate my bedroom and my scouring the web for soft, modern, inspiring interior designs. Now I know a wedding is supposed to be a mix of both halves of the couple’s personal taste and I totally support that. But I’m also all for sneaking in a few overly feminine details. The combination of masculine and feminine is totally in now anyway, or at least that’s my current excuse for allowing this to happen.

So what better a location for some feminine touch than in your reception table centerpieces? A combination of flowers and candles (or one or the other) make for some great centerpieces and add that little touch of girly. Martha Stewart Weddings has a great feature on wedding centerpieces right now. Here are just a few of my favorites. But keep in mind, you’re not just picking a centerpiece – you must create a complete tablescape. The centerpiece may be what first draws the eye, but the tablecloth, glassware, dishes and escort cards are also very important.

Haha, I can totally relate to trying to sneak in some feminine stuff into house decor. I always see so many things I love for our house, but I feel bad making my husband live in such a girly place! I think you really do have to compromise in your home, but when it comes to your wedding, you can be as feminine as you want ;) Love all of these ideas!
