Modern Weddings: Jim and Jen’s Intimate Tiffany Blue Wedding
I was actually “volunteered” to photograph a friend’s wedding this past Friday night :p The last wedding I photographed was back in 2004 AND I had a partner to help me out for that occasion. I am so out of practice that I actually had to bust open my camera’s manual to figure out what some of the little icons meant on the lcd. Embarrassing to say the least. Broken flash - check. Dirty lenses - check. Haven’t picked up my camera in 8 months - check. I was ready to go.
Ok, well things didn’t turn out sooo bad. It was actually pretty fun and I got some good shots afterall. Well, let me rephrase… I got some sort of good shots that were made a lot better with the help of Photoshop!!!
Here is the lovely bride and groom kissing in front of the waterfalls near the venue.

Jim and Jen’s wedding was small, only about 50 close relatives and friends. There was a short ceremony, a cocktail hour, and dinner. It was simple, to the point, and very intimate. The omission of dancing led to extended dinner conversation and mingling. I was very impressed with the way the whole thing turned out and it made me fall in love with small weddings.

Jim and Jen’s wedding theme color was Tiffany blue - Jen’s favorite color - and a color that also happens to match her eyes very closely!

Jen's dress was handmade by her soon to be mother-in-law. She added a Tiffany Blue jewel to the zipper to match her wedding theme color.
Jen made some fabulous (and inexpensive) place card holders out of tiny bottles with cork tops. She filled the bottles with mints and cut a slit in the cork for the place cards! I LOVED this! Below is the place card with me and my husband’s name on it, hehe.

On the walk to the waterfalls where the first two images were shot, we had to go through the small town of Honeoye Falls, New York. The town was quaint, colorful, and perfect for pictures!

Jen’s daughter Milan was their flower girl (who was also dressed in the lovely shade of Tiffany blue). Seeing the new family together was absolutely adorable!
